yoga classes
Hatha
Foundational knowledge of yoga postures.
Strength, stamina and stability before flexibility.
Ignite the body and mind and cultivate body awareness.
Hatha classes allow your body to explore each pose with longer holds. Less time and effort are spent on the transition, and the practice is generally slower- paced. Whether you are new to yoga or are eager to spend more time delving into alignment, Hatha classes offer you the space to delve deeper into your practice.
Vinyasa
Movement and breath.
Align, sweat and vibe before rest.
Coordinate rhythmic movement and meditative flow.
Vinyasa classes offer transitions that are as meaningful as landing the pose that is to come. Explore your body’s call to move readily in alignment with your breath, to find calm outside of stillness of the body, and to discover grace in challenge.
Gentle
Power of calmness.
Rest, healing and surrender before effort.
Nurture health with attention and care.
Gentle classes invite restoration and ease. Open yourself to power in stillness and release.
Yin
Release into stillness.
Passive, calm stretch before depth.
Delve into cool, quiet moments of total presence.
The yin practice asks that we steady the mind during discomfort. Expect to stretch the body and the mind, letting go of resistance.

Levels
All of our classes are OPEN to ALL students of any ability or experience. In general, levels indicate intensity as well as knowledge of yoga terminology. All yoga classes begin with a centering and perhaps a short meditation, incorporating a reading or poem, an inspiration or chanting before the sequence of poses offered by the instructor. All classes end with deep relaxation, your savasana. Most classes offer music, setting the frequency for a true, personal experience.
Level 1
Level 1 classes are designed for the beginner and experienced student alike. The experienced student can find challenge by diving deep into the pose, and the beginner can learn asana (poses) through detailed explanation of technique, building strength and flexibility safely.
Level 2
Level 2 classes are created for the intermediate student who has a basic knowledge of asana. Less time may be spent on technique, and more time may be spent on delving deeper into asana variations and perhaps philosophy
Open Level
Open level classes are open to any level student, with the intention that the student will create his or her own experience based on ability. The teacher provides instruction to guide and support any level, encouraging growth and tapping into intuition.
